Porcelain Jewelry
The production of Art Effects Northwest Porcelain Jewelry starts with a simple white clay body. Colored stain is added and and the clay is wedged thoroughly on canvas material to uniformly mix the color and remove the air.
Once all the air is removed, a slab of the raw material is cut and then rolled to a perfect thickness for the cutting of the jewelry shapes.

Jewelry shapes are cut from this raw material using a specially crafted metal cutter, then allowed to dry before bisque firing. After firing, the shapes are hand sanded, glazed and re-fired to temperatures in excess of 2000ºF. Lusters such as Mother of Pearl, Gold, and Platinum are added then added. Depending on the piece it may be kiln fired up to 2 more times.

After final luster fire, the jewerly is removed from the kiln and prepared for adding posts & backs. Pieces are then mounted on to jewelry display cards.
